Complimentary therapy should always stem from the genuine empathy at its root. Or so I feel. If I had been her I would have been so gratefull of the feedback, coming direct from the you, with all of what you have experienced, you can't buy that information, also I would have been mortified that I had upset you. Honestly, things like this remind me that Im not such a crazy after all. Something such a therapist always should thrive for. I get the feeling she didn't really agree with you, and that's a red flag, not to really listen. But I'm glad you have found something that is helpful for yourself in this journey. To find a good match is essential. marwilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14490542805154143307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4181203705533916900.post-35678027275910118952013-01-28T10:32:29.854-08:002013-01-28T10:32:29.854-08:00That's great you spoke up and hopefully she th...That's great you spoke up and hopefully she thought about it afterwards and made some changes. What a horrible phrase to use. I think it is awesome that you decided to tell her how the comment made you feel - after all, how are people to get better at dealing with IF patients without feedback? Feedback is a gift and she did not take it! I have also talked to some of my providers about my experience. For example, I talked to the financial lady at my clinic's boss, because she did not have a clue how to deal with our need for DE/IVF and teh insurance policies. He really took the feedback as a gift andthanked me for sharing it! Wish your acupuncturist would have done the same! Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
